20 mil. thick vinyl liner 10 year pro-rated manufacturer warranty
A pool liner is a fragile item, it is nothing more than pieces of
plastic sheeting sealed together. The material we use is made from
virgin vinyl, flexible Poly-Vinyl Chloride (PVC) sheeting containing
various additives, i.e. inhibitors for mildew, mold and algae. These
additives improve the life and quality of the vinyl by increasing its
resistance to chemical/detergents, brittleness, punctures, high
strength with durability and low temperature flexibility.
Frequently Asked Questions
If you have questions regarding any pool or spa products, please
note that the best source to answer your questions or concerns is your
local pool dealer. They will be able to give you the best pool "know
how" knowledge from their personal experience, and discuss with you the
personal nuances of your products.
Here, however, are a few questions and answers we can address. Please also feel free to contact us at your convenience.
- Which is the best liner pattern for my pool?
- We
like to think that all patterns that we carry are the "best". The
pattern to choose, however, is the one that you like the most. Some
people, for example, will pick a liner that matches the theme in their
back yard.
- If your coping is a terra cotta color, then select a pattern that has a similar shade in its print.
- If you have a grey colored deck, then choose a pattern that has grey in it.
- Which vinyl is better for my pool: 20 or 27 gauge?
- Each gauge has its own advantages. Your dealer should be able to discuss this with you in greater detail.
- If I choose a darker liner, will it warm in the water?
- The
change in temperature between the choice of a dark liner and a light
colored liner is insignificant. There are too many variables that can
determine the temperature of your pool. For example, your home
location, do you live in the northern part of the nation or the
southern. The pool location is it surrounded by trees, or in a sunny
spot? The best choice is to buy what you like.
- Will I see seams in the pool?
- Although
it will be subtle, yes you will. It is the pattern you choose that will
reduce the seam visibility. Please contact your pool dealer to discuss
the available pattern choices.
- Are vinyl cover steps slippery?
- This
is a tricky question; under normal conditions a vinyl covered step is
not slippery. lthough, it can become slippery if your chemical balance
is off. The once non slippery step can become slippery due to algae
growth that you can't always see, so please check your chemicals as
instructed by your pool dealer. Remember, take your time when entering
the pool, and use a rail for guidance and support.
- Should pets be allowed in the pool?
- While
we all love our household pet(s) and want them to have fun too, pool
owners should consider not allowing them in the pool. A pet can damage,
tear or puncture your new vinyl liner. While clearly up to the pet
owner, it is usually best to keep pets out of the pool.
